My father gave us a clay chiminea about eight years ago; I thought I&#039;d seasoned it correctly with small fires in the beginning, but I must not have done enough of them.  It did suffer thermal shock, cracked down one side.  We repaired that with a fireplace sealant, but over time, the cracking continued until the neck broke off.

I thought I could fix that, but when I tried, the entire thing fell apart.  Our recent very cold winter may have finished the clay off...</description>
